When a customer brings in a computer for repair it is important to ensure that it is correctly booked onto our system.
To do this we use Repairshopr.
Create a new ticket and enter the customers first and last name.
If they are an existing customer their full name will be displayed along with their email address.
Be sure to check that the email address is the correct one for this customer.
If it is, then simply select the autosuggestion and continue to create the ticket.
If the customer’s name does not generate autosuggestion then click on create a new ticket and complete all the fields.
During the ticket creation, it is important to make a note of the condition of the asset that is being handed over.
For laptops please check to make sure that the screen is undamaged.
Check to ensure that all the base screws are present and record any that are missing
Check to ensure that the base feet are intact and present. Make a note of any missing feet or damage.
Check to ensure that the screen feet are intact and present. Again make a note of any damage or missing feet.
Check the general condition of the asset. Are there any broken parks and noticeable damage?
Make a note of anything for which a customer may later claim we have damaged.
If necessary photograph the item.
When the ticket has been created do one of the following:
For existing clients who were already in the database confirm with the customer their email, mobile telephone number and address.
For new customers ask them to check the details by handing them the ticket label that prints out of the label printer.
Be sure to record every asset left with us and also place a label on each of the items.
