Ticket Status

Ticket Status is important and often overlooked setting on RepairShopr.

It is important because it tells us the status of each and every ticket.

It is therefore important to ensure that ticket statuses are changed every time the status of a ticket is changed.

Having the correct ticket status allows us to check the progress of a job easily.

These are some common statuses and what they mean.

Allocated To

Use this status when you are allocating a job to another engineer.

By changing the status to Allocated To you are passing the job on to them and it becomes their responsibility.

Try to add some information in the private communications field so that they know why you are passing the job to them.

To allocate a job to another engineer simply change the status to Allocated To and then change the name of the assignee to their name.

Customer Reply

This status is automatically changed to Customer Reply when a customer replies to a ticket either by email or by SMS.

Once you have read the reply please change the status away from Customer Reply to a more appropriate status depending on what stage the job is at. This might be for instance In Progress.

Parts To Be Located

Change the status of a ticket to Parts To Be Located when you have been unable to find a part or need to find it.

Changing a ticket status to this allows us to check which tickets have parts that need to be located to progress the job.

Parts to be ordered

Once you have located a part and completed the parts order module on the customer ticket please change the status of the ticket to Parts To Be Ordered.

This allows us to locate jobs that need to have the parts ordered for them in order to progress them.

Parts Ordered

This simply means that the part has been ordered for this job but has not been received.

You can check the Parts module to see when a part is due in.

This page will be updated when necessary from time to time.
